KRISTI DREYER MCINERNEY

 

Kristi Dreyer McInerney has owned and operated Dance Fusion Performing Arts Studio since 2007. As a young woman, she had the opportunity to study at the Lehigh Valley Ballet Guild under the instruction of the late Alexi Ramov. Kristi is a 1997 graduate of DeSales University with a Bachelor's Degree in Dance. Prior to owning Dance Fusion, Kristi acquired 14 years of experience in teaching children and adults of all ages and levels in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical, Creative Movement, and Yoga. She has performed and choreographed for several shows at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, for the locally televised Greater Ms. Berks County Scholarship Organization, and for the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Kristi has also choreographed for several local High School Musicals and Lehigh Valley and Berks County area festivals. She was Assistant Director for the Eastern Pennsylvania Ballet Theatre for 6 years where she choreographed and produced several productions of The Nutcracker and quite a few other children's Ballets. Kristi continues to develop her skills as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and Zumba Fitness Instructor by attending classes, performances, and workshops on a regular basis. She incorporates a positive and fun teaching style, emphasizing self-confidence and performance in her classes.

 

DENISE BINDER

 

Denise Binder received her B.A. in Dance from DeSales University, where she was the recipient of the Jeannie Maxwell Award for Excellence in Choreography. She has been teaching dance throughout the Lehigh Valley for over 20 years. Previously Denise was the director and choreographer for the Mosaic Dance Company at the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre. While there, she also choreographed for Harry Connick Jr’s production of The Happy Elf. In 2016 she obtained her M.Ed in Elementary Education from Kutztown University and was honored to receive the Clinical Experience Award for both teaching placements. She currently teaches 3rd grade at St. Ann School in Emmaus and in her spare time enjoys her position as the director of the Spring Musical.

 

ARIANNA CACIOPPO

 

Arianna Cacioppo is originally from Kinnelon, New Jersey where she began performing at a young age and instantly fell in love with every aspect of Musical Theatre. She is a classically trained singer with over fourteen years of experience in singing both Opera and Contemporary Music styles. Her past performance credits range from Muhlenberg College, to Paper Mill Playhouse, to Radio City Music Hall. Arianna is now currently located in Allentown, Pennsylvania where she attends Muhlenberg College and is on track to graduate in the Spring of 2022. She is educated in both Cecchetti and Balanchine styles of Ballet; Street, Afro, and Musical Theatre styles of Jazz; Hip Hop; and Modern Dance styles including Horton, Graham, and Taylor. She has also studied the repertoire and style of Bob Fosse in New York City through the Fosse Verdon Legacy Project, and studied the repertoire and style of Paul Taylor with Ruth Andrien during intensives at the Taylor School in New York City. Arianna has been teaching for 5+ years, ranging from her work teaching Dance at Claim to Fame: studio of the Performing Arts, and the Muhlenberg Community Dance Center; teaching Acting at Smiling Rhino Theatre and Porchlight Productions; and Freelance Teaching Private voice lessons.

 

KYRSTEN CREGGER

 

Kyrsten Cregger is one of our very own alumna from Dance Fusion Performing Arts Studio and now a member of the staff! She started dancing at the studio in 2010, where she assistant taught for 5 years and participated in the Fusion2 Company Ensemble. Kyrsten went on to receive her B.S. in Business Administration with a focus in Finance, Marketing, and Risk Management & Insurance from La Salle University in 2021. She now utilizes her education to support her 2 passions: cats and dance. She volunteers as a Social Media Co-Coordinator for Le Cat Café in Philadelphia and is eager to share her business and marketing expertise with the Dance Fusion administrative team!

 

 

 

 

 

 

KRISTINA DENNIS

 

Kristina Dennis graduated from Cedar Crest College earning a B.A. in Dance, where she performed in the Cedar Crest College Dance Company. She was President of the CCC chapter of Nu Delta Alpha (National Dance Educational Honors Society). She also teaches dance classes at Premiere Dance Studio, Academy of Movement at the Yocum Institute and at Berks Ballet Theatre Conservatory of Dance. She choreographs for the Premiere Performers Dance Team and she has won many awards for her routines. She is a resident teaching artist at Yocum Institute for Arts Education, which leads her to bring dance into various schools and libraries around Berks County. Through storytelling, drama, creative writing and critical thinking, Kristina promotes literacy with Neighborhood Bridges in Reading School District.  She is the Body Movement teacher for Yocum’s Preschool Program and is a dance instructor for Yocum’s Summer Multi-Arts Camps.  She also teaches for the theatre department and choreographs many of their musicals. 

 

SAMANTHA DOUBLET

 

Samantha Doublet joined the Dance Fusion Family in 2009 with her daughters Marnie and Avalon. Samantha has always been a volunteer dance mom at Dance Fusion, helping at the studio, recitals, and dress rehearsals, where you've probably seen her backstage or selling snacks and drinks. She has been volunteering with the Fundraising Committee for several years and took over as Fundraising Coordinator in 2021. Samantha was hired in 2022 to assist Anne, the Costume Coordinator. As a child, Samantha danced and twirled the baton for 10 years with the former Melanie Wagner Academy of Baton and Dance in Bethlehem, PA.   Samantha works part time as a customer service associate at Weis Markets in Kutztown and also volunteers with the Kutztown Indoor Association Dance and Twirl Teams.

 

JAMES DU CHATEAU

 

James Du Chateau started his dance training here in the Lehigh Valley! He attended the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts in Bethlehem, PA and the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase in Purchase, NY. He has performed all over the country and taught in the tri-state area for over five years. Credits: How The Grinch Stole Christmas (Original Broadway Cast); Radio City Christmas Spectacular; Enchanted (Walt Disney Pictures); Mamma Mia, 42nd Street, Mike in A Chorus Line (Palace Theatre) Catch Me If You Can, An American In Paris (Arizona Broadway Theatre), La Cage Aux Folles (Axelrod Performing Arts Center), Saturday Night Fever (National Tour, Assistant Dance Captain).

 

DANA FLOK

 

Dana Flok was the former Director of Dynamix Dance Center in Allentown, PA. Miss Dana has been active in the dance industry for over 20 years. Since completing her BFA in Dance in 1999, Dana has instructed, choreographed, and performed throughout the Lehigh Valley, Berks County, and surrounding areas. With a minor in Theatre, her credits include choreography in several musicals and off-Broadway shows, as well as, working with dance companies in the surrounding area. Dana has acted as the head coach and choreographer for the Lehigh University Dance Team for several years. While under her instruction, the team has represented this area while competing at the National level in Florida, televised on ESPN. She also started the dance program at Emmaus High School where she worked as a dance instructor and choreographed productions. She acted as the Junior Dance Team Coordinator for the Lehigh Valley Outlawz, part of the National Arena Football League. 

 

SOLANGE GARCIA

 

Solange Garcia is a creative, advocate, and arts administrator from the island of St. Croix in the Virgin Islands. She is a graduate of Boston University with both a B.S. in Public Relations/Mass Communication and an M.S. in Arts Administration. She has professional experience in theatre & performance education, arts marketing, theatre production, stage management, fundraising, and community building. During her time in Boston, she worked for several theatre companies such as the Tony award winning Huntington Theatre Company, the American Repertory Theatre's fringe theatre, OBERON, and the Boch Center in both education and marketing. She has also helped produce works in South Florida, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania. Most memorable credits include: co-directing, marketing & student education for Shakespearean works at the Huntington Theatre Company in Boston, performing in an original piece inspired by Taylor Mali poems in Miami, and helping launch an arts walk in Chester, PA with the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. She is a Lehigh Valley transplant and lives with her husband, two dogs, and four cats. 

 

ANNE GROLLER

Anne is excited for another great season watching the students flourish! She works vigorously behind the scenes making our event & costume dreams come true. She has been with Dance Fusion Performing Arts Studio for over 10 years in various capacities. When she is not at the studio, she works for Fresenius Medical Care. Have questions about uniforms, merch, and costumes? She's your gal!
 

 

 

 

KYLA GROLLER

Kyla Groller is currently attending Parkland High School as a senior.  At PHS, Kyla serves as Varsity Captain of the Parkland Dance Team and has participated on the team for 3 years. She has been a dancer at Dance Fusion Performing Arts Studio for the past 13 years and has been assisting for 6. Not only has she been a competition dancer for 7 years, she has also performed in numerous recitals, showcases, etc. Kyla has assisted college level dance classes at Muhlenberg College and Franklin & Marshall College in addition to Escher Studios Musical Theater camp for Samuel Antonio Reyes. Kyla enjoys teaching to share her love for dance and provide a safe space for children to express themselves. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BRITTANY HERCIK

 

Brittany Hercik is currently on the dance faculty at Arts Academy Charter Middle School in Allentown, PA. She is a graduate of DeSales University with a B.A. in Dance and TV/Film. Brittany also holds certification through Dance Masters of America Teachers Training School. She has been teaching for over 10 years in all styles of dance including: Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Pointe, Modern, and Musical Theater. During her time in college, Brittany served as President of the DeSales University Dance Team along with teaching for DeSales’s Conservatory of Dance. She also interned at Pentacle, a non-profit dance organization in New York City her junior and senior year of college. She has performed in many dance concerts and showcases getting the opportunity to recreate work from Charles Weidman, work with the New Street Dance Group, and Natalie Desch, a former Limon Dance Company and Doug Varone member to name a few. Other performance experiences include the American Dance College Festival Association, the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, the Dance New Amsterdam College Exchange Program in New York City and numerous other performances throughout the area. Her choreography has been seen at Desales University, McConnellsburg High School, countless Dance on Camera productions, dance competitions, the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, Dance Fusion, and AACMS. Brittany enjoys her time with all of her students and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

 

JILLIAN JARSOCRAK

 

Jillian has been dancing for over 20 years. She started her dance education in Allentown, PA through high school. During her studio training she performed and learned under multiple choreographers and teachers. Jillian attended Temple University for her Bachelor's Degree. While at Temple University, she was a member and co captain of the Temple University

Diamond Gems Dance Team. She competed in various styles of dance throughout her college dance career. Jillian competed nationally at the Universal Dance Association College Nationals - she was apart of the Temple University team that placed 4th in the nation. Since returning home from Temple University, Jillian has been the coach of the nationally ranked Emmaus High School Dance Team. The team is currently ranked 5th in the nation for hip hop at the high school level.  Outside of dance Jillian enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

 

JESSICA LANG

Jessica Lang teaches Yoga at Dance Fusion Performing Arts Studio and throughout the Lehigh Valley. A seeker of truth, meaning, beauty, and happiness, Jessica’s yoga journey was born out of stretchy bits of asana incorporated into ballet classes over 20 years ago. What began as a quest for physical exercise has evolved into a healing-focused practice for mind, body, and spirit. Jessica has found mental focus, pain relief, increased mobility, strength, and reduced anxiety in her own practice, outcomes which she now aspires to share with others. Jessica is RYT-200 certified through an Ashtanga-based program with additional training in Yin yoga. Her practice style infuses body awareness and mindfulness that she encourages students to incorporate, both on and off the mat.

PATRICK PAGELLA

 

Patrick Pagella earned his B.S. in nursing from Cedar Crest College with additional M.S. from DeSales University where he completed the Nurse Practitioner Program. Although formally trained in Family Practice and Wellness, he has extensive experience in Trauma, Orthopedics, Burn and Surgical Critical Care. Patrick has been actively training in strength and conditioning for 21 years and has trained with several local exercise physiologists, lending to his modern approach to strength and conditioning training.

 

ALEXANDRA SEYBOLT

 

Alexandra Seybolt is a graduate from DeSales University with a B.A. in Dance and a minor in Psychology. At DeSales, Alex served as the president of the DeSales University Dance Team, the secretary of Chai Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society, and as a teacher for the Conservatory of Dance. Alex teaches to share her passion for dance with others through skill development, self-expression, and creative enrichment. 

 

LIZZY STEIRER

Lizzy grew up dancing in the Lehigh Valley. She graduated from the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts in Bethlehem, PA and attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She is currently studying Arts & Entertainment Management. She has taught workshops, guest classes and alumni intensives throughout the Lehigh Valley. Throughout high school and college, she has had the opportunity to perform in student and faculty concerts and has also worked and performed with New York based companies, TAKE Dance, The Bang Group, and Sidra Bell. Lizzy was able to present her choreography twice at the National High School Dance Festival in a selected student showcase. Recently, her choreography has been recognized and awarded regionally at various dance competitions. She is so excited to be able to share her love for dance with her students!

CHELSEA THOMPSON

 

Chelsea Thompson is an aerialist, dance performer, and actor from Philadelphia. She began her circus training at Muhlenberg College where she was an original cast member of the Muhlenberg Circus Workshop. She has appeared in the Muhlenberg College Summer Music Theatre circus productions of Wild, Tal: Beyond Imagination, and Bohemia. She currently trains at Philadelphia School of Circus Arts and is a lecturer of aerial acrobatics at Muhlenberg College. Outside of the circus world, Ms. Thompson is a member of InFlux Dance Company (dir. Jessica Bostock) and has performed with the children’s theatre company T4Y Playmakers. 

JENNIFER TRAYLOR

Jennifer received her B.S. in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting from Kutztown University.  She’s been the Kutztown School District’s Dance Team Coach since 2011; coaching students Kindergarten through 12th grade.  Jennifer is also the Kutztown Indoor Association Unit Director where she takes the Dance & Twirl Teams to the Tournament Indoor Association Atlantic Coast Championships in Wildwood, NJ every season.  Jennifer has been with Dance Fusion Performing Arts Studio since the beginning; teaching students, administrative responsibilities and currently teaching Adult Fitness classes.   The DanceFit class is always a good time; great music, fun atmosphere and never taking yourself too seriously!

 

 

SAMANTHA WIIK

 

Samantha Wiik is a graduate of Kutztown University where she earned her degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Pre-K through 4th grades. Currently a teacher in the Parkland School District, Miss Sami has over 13 years of dance and musical theater training. She has taught and choreographed for Kutztown Area School District’s School musicals and dance teams. She is passionate about teaching and her bubbly personality and positive attitude shine through in her classes. Sami loves teaching young students in Creative Movement, KinderDance and Musical Theater classes at Dance Fusion!
