Kristi Dreyer McInerney has owned and operated Dance Fusion Performing Arts Studio since 2007. As a young woman, she had the opportunity to study at the Lehigh Valley Ballet Guild under the instruction of the late Alexi Ramov. Kristi is a 1997 graduate of DeSales University with a Bachelor's Degree in Dance. Prior to owning Dance Fusion, Kristi acquired 14 years of experience in teaching children and adults of all ages and levels in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Lyrical, Creative Movement, and Yoga. She has performed and choreographed for several shows at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, for the locally televised Greater Ms. Berks County Scholarship Organization, and for the opening ceremonies of the Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Kristi has also choreographed for several local High School Musicals and Lehigh Valley and Berks County area festivals. She was Assistant Director for the Eastern Pennsylvania Ballet Theatre for 6 years where she choreographed and produced several productions of The Nutcracker and quite a few other children's Ballets. Kristi continues to develop her skills as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and Zumba Fitness Instructor by attending classes, performances, and workshops on a regular basis. She incorporates a positive and fun teaching style, emphasizing self- confidence and performance in her classes.
Denise Binder received her B.A. in Dance from DeSales University, where she was the recipient of the Jeannie Maxwell Award for Excellence in Choreography. She has been teaching dance throughout the Lehigh Valley for over 20 years. Previously Denise was the director and choreographer for the Mosaic Dance Company at the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre. While there, she also choreographed for Harry Connick Jr’s production of The Happy Elf. In 2016 she obtained her M.Ed in Elementary Education from Kutztown University and was honored to receive the Clinical Experience Award for both teaching placements. She currently teaches 3rd grade at St. Ann School in Emmaus and in her spare time enjoys her position as the director of the Spring Musical.
Anthony & Emilie Cordero met while both training with the same hip-hop company of which Anthony was also the ballet teacher, as he is, in addition to being well-versed in all styles of hip-hop, a classically trained ballet dancer, and has been performing in, and choreographing for, various renditions of The Nutcracker and many other performances and shows his entire life. They have gone from dance partners and best friends to now married and have had the amazing opportunity to perform and compete in shows such as World Of Dance, Clutchfest, and DanceFest. They both still regularly attend conventions such as Monsters Of Hip-Hop and classes at places such as Broadway Dance Center and Brick House in New York City in order to continuously grow as dancers. They believe there is always something new to be learned, and so, they are always striving to grow even further as dancers and find new techniques and fresh choreography to bring back to their students.
Margaret DeLucia is originally from Princeton, New Jersey, but relocated to the Lehigh Valley area for college. She holds a B.A. in Theatre with a double minor in creative writing and dance from Muhlenberg College. During her time at Muhlenberg, Margaret choreographed for two student dance concerts. Margaret very much values diversity and inclusion in dance and strives to incorporate it into all of her work. Being able to use dance to talk about difficult topics is what motivates her the most. Margaret enjoys all styles of dance, but find a particular affinity for acrobatic and contemporary.
James Du Chateau started his dance training here in the Lehigh Valley! He attended the Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts in Bethlehem, PA and the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase in Purchase, NY. He has performed all over the country and taught in the tri-state area for over five years. Dana Flok was the former Director of Dynamix Dance Center in Allentown, PA. Miss Dana has been active in the dance industry for over 20 years. Since completing her BFA in Dance in 1999, Dana has instructed, choreographed, and performed throughout the Lehigh Valley, Berks County, and surrounding areas. With a minor in Theatre, her credits include choreography in several musicals and off-Broadway shows, as well as, working with dance companies in the surrounding area. Dana has acted as the head coach and choreographer for the Lehigh University Dance Team for several years. While under her instruction, the team has represented this area while competing at the National level in Florida, televised on ESPN. She also started the dance program at Emmaus High School where she worked as a dance instructor and choreographed productions. She acted as the Junior Dance Team Coordinator for the Lehigh Valley Outlawz, part of the National Arena Football League. We are so excited to have Dana as part of our team at Dance Fusion!
Solange Garcia is a creative, advocate, and arts administrator from the island of St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. She is a graduate of Boston University with both a B.S. in Public Relations/Mass Communication and an M.S. in Arts Administration. She has professional experience in theatre education and marketing, stage management, and community building. During her time in Boston, she worked for several theatre companies such as the Tony award winning Huntington Theatre Company and the Boch Center (formerly known as Citi Center for the Performing Arts) in both education and marketing. She has also helped produce theatrical works in Florida, Ohio, Boston, and Pennsylvania. Most memorable works include: marketing & student education for Shakespearean works at the Huntington Theatre Company in Boston, performing in an original piece inspired by Taylor Mali poems in Miami, and helping create an arts walk in Chester, PA with the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. She is a Lehigh Valley transplant and lives with her husband, two dogs, and four cats.
Brittany Hercik is currently on the dance faculty at Arts Academy Charter Middle School in Allentown, PA. She is a graduate of DeSales University with a B.A. in Dance and TV/Film. Brittany also holds certification through Dance Masters of America Teachers Training School. She has been teaching for over 10 years in all styles of dance including: Acrobatics, Hip Hop, Break Dance, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Pointe, Modern, and Musical Theater. During her time in college, Brittany served as President of the DeSales University Dance Team along with teaching for DeSales’s Conservatory of Dance. She also interned at Pentacle, a non-profit dance organization in New York City her junior and senior year of college. She has performed in many dance concerts and showcases getting the opportunity to recreate work from Charles Weidman, work with the New Street Dance Group, and Natalie Desch, a former Limon Dance Company and Doug Varone member to name a few. Other performance experiences include the American Dance College Festival Association, the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, the Dance New Amsterdam College Exchange Program in New York City and numerous other performances throughout the area. Her choreography has been seen at Desales University, McConnellsburg High School, countless Dance on Camera productions, dance competitions, the Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, Dance Fusion, and AACMS. Brittany enjoys her time with all of her students and can’t wait to see what the future holds!
Jessica Lang teaches Yoga at Dance Fusion Performing Arts Studio and throughout the Lehigh Valley. A seeker of truth, meaning, beauty, and happiness, Jessica’s yoga journey was born out of stretchy bits of asana incorporated into ballet classes over 20 years ago. What began as a quest for physical exercise has evolved into a healing-focused practice for mind, body, and spirit. Jessica has found mental focus, pain relief, increased mobility, strength, and reduced anxiety in her own practice, outcomes which she now aspires to share with others. Jessica is RYT-200 certified through an Ashtanga-based program with additional training in Yin yoga. Her practice style infuses body awareness and mindfulness that she encourages students to incorporate, both on and off the mat.
Patrick Pagella earned his B.S. in nursing from Cedar Crest College with additional M.S. from DeSales University where he completed the Nurse Practitioner Program. Although formally trained in Family Practice and Wellness, he has extensive experience in Trauma, Orthopedics, Burn and Surgical Critical Care. Patrick has been actively training in strength and conditioning for 21 years and has trained with several local exercise physiologists, lending to his modern approach to strength and conditioning training.
Kimberly Patterson was born and raised in Palisades, New York, where she began dancing at the age of 3. She attended DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance. While in school she was selected to perform “The Shakers” that was re-worked by Ernestine Stodelle, an exponent of Modern Dance founder, Doris Humphrey. She also, graduated in 2018 with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Kutztown University. Among As a highlight to her career, Kimberly performed at the opening ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. She has also choreographed and performed a modern piece for the 60x60 project at the Meadowlands Winter Theatre, New York, NY. During her dance career, Kimberly has taught both adults and children in many styles of dance. She has taught in New York, New Jersey and overseas in Australia where she lived for four years. While in Australia she had the opportunity to choreograph for the Kardinia International College, spring concert. Kimberly has since been living and teaching in the Lehigh Valley for the past eleven years. She is committed to furthering her dance education by attending conventions such as the Dance Teacher Summit in NYC along with other classes in Philadelphia and in the Lehigh Valley.
Samuel Antonio Reyes has been a Philadelphia artist since 2000. He has worked and danced with Radio Disney and TV star Raven-Symone, Disney Hollywood Records, Gamble and Huff, Nike, Philadelphia Film and video. He has danced and trained with Rennie Harris Puremovement, Charles Anderson dance theatre X, and Koresh Dance Company. Sammy is a two-time Barrymore Awards Philadelphia theater award of excellence nominee for best choreography in a play or musical. He is a Professor of Hip Hop Culture at Muhlenberg College, Lehigh University, Franklin and Marshall College and Cedar Crest College. Sammy is Artistic Director of his Company, SanBrooka Productions.
Alexandra Seybolt is a graduate from DeSales University with a B.A. in Dance and a minor in Psychology. At DeSales, Alex served as the president of the DeSales University Dance Team, the secretary of Chai Tau Epsilon Dance Honor Society, and as a teacher for the Conservatory of Dance. Alex teaches to share her passion for dance with others through skill development, self-expression, and creative enrichment.
Chelsea Thompson is an aerialist, dance performer, and actor from Philadelphia. She began her circus training at Muhlenberg College where she was an original cast member of the Muhlenberg Circus Workshop. She has appeared in the Muhlenberg College Summer Music Theatre circus productions of Wild, Tal: Beyond Imagination, and Bohemia. She currently trains at Philadelphia School of Circus Arts and is a lecturer of aerial acrobatics at Muhlenberg College. Outside of the circus world, Ms. Thompson is a member of InFlux Dance Company (dir. Jessica Bostock) and has performed with the children’s theatre company T4Y Playmakers.
Cassandra Torres joined the Dance Fusion staff in 2018. Dancing since the age of three, she began her training at Dynamix Dance Center. Miss Cassie was invited to begin assistant teaching in 2014. Her dance education is rooted in ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz, modern and hip hop. Cassie has attended workshops at venues such as Broadway Dance Center, Dorney Park and The Pulse on Tour. She continues to train and is currently studying Elementary Education Pre-K- 4th Grade at Kutztown University, where she is a coordinator of the university's dance club, Performing Dance Portmanteau. While acting as secretary for the group, she also organizes workshops with different choreographers and choreographs many of their numbers. She is in charge of managing the Performing Dance Portmanteau annual dance showcase at Kutztown University at the end of each semester. We love having Miss Cassie on our staff because she never seems to run out of energy, teaching her fun, yet structured classes to the young students at our studio!
Jennifer Traylor is a graduate of Kutztown University with a B.A. in Accounting. She is the Head Coach for the Kutztown Area School District Dance Teams. Jen was certified as a Zumba instructor by Tanya Beardsley, co-host of the Zumba Fitness videos, in New York City, in June of 2009. At Dance Fusion, she loves teaching DanceFit to the adult students and as our Office Manager, she enjoys seeing everyone’s smiling faces while working at the studio desk.
Samantha Wiik is a graduate of Kutztown University where she earned her degree in Elementary Education with a focus on Pre-K through 4th grades. Currently a teacher in the Parkland School District, Miss Sami has over 13 years of dance and musical theater training. She has taught and choreographed for Kutztown Area School District’s School musicals and dance teams. She is passionate about teaching and her bubbly personality and positive attitude shine through in her classes. Sami loves teaching young students in Creative Movement, KinderDance and Musical Theater classes at Dance Fusion!
Skylar Ankrom is a senior Dance Major and Honors student at Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts. Her Modern choreography has been selected and showcased in their annual Dance Soup Concert. She's also been cast in musicals at Parkland High School, and earned the title of Dance Captain for the production of Mary Poppins Jr. In 2019, Skylar was awarded a scholarship for DeSales University's Summer Dance Intensive. Her professional dance career began at age 16 with Dorney Park's extraordinary Grand Carnivale, and she continues to work in Live Entertainment with Cedar Fair. While dancing since age 3, Skylar has trained in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, Acro, and Aerial Arts. Skylar is a current member of Fusion2 Company Ensemble, where she is admired as a role model. Her future endeavors include pursuing dance in college, and continuing to perform professionally. As an assistant teacher for 5 years, her passion for dance has inspired many students. Skylar is excited to share her skills, technique, and enthusiasm with the Dance Fusion family!
